Our fee is commission-based and is a percentage of the total proceeds of the sale. The rate depends on various factors, such as the property's location, the amount of personal property to be sold, the condition of the personal property, and the timeline for the sale.
We offer a free "walkthrough" to evaluate the personal property based on the above criteria and understand your situation and expected timeline. Most clients have an ultimate goal of either making the most money they can on items or getting rid of them to empty the home or property quickly. The walkthrough does not obligate you to sell with us.
After the walkthrough, we can provide an accurate fee (commission), which is all-inclusive, with no hidden charges. Our fee covers:
1. Sorting, lotting, and photographing all items
2. Uploading lot photos into the software, then creating titles and descriptions for each lot
3.) Communicating with you about our progress and answering any questions you may have throughout the process
3. Manage the preview and live online sales, answer bidder questions, etc.
4. Organizing items for pickup and overseeing the pickup process, including collecting all monies owed
The commission fee includes all credit card processing fees as well as a comprehensive advertising and marketing service to maximize the auction's reach. Working on a commission basis drives our auction firm to make your estate or downsizing sale successful.
If you choose our auction firm to host your sale, we will prepare a contract that we and all other relevant parties are required to sign. We can do this on the day of the walkthrough or at a later date. We offer free digital contract signing, including for clients who live out of state.
